Senior Ministry at West Hills Church

“Honoring Wisdom, Cultivating Community, Embracing Legacy.”

At West Hills Church, we recognize the invaluable contribution of our senior members. Our Senior Ministry is dedicated to building and strengthening relationships among our seniors, helping them to support, care for, and grow one another in Christ. We celebrate the wisdom and life experiences of our older adults, seeing this season as a crown of glory and a time rich with potential for fruitful ministry and deepened faith.

Celebrating the Golden Years:

  • Biblical Wisdom: We embrace the biblical perspective that “gray hair is a crown of glory” (Proverbs 16:31) and affirm that the later years can be the most life-giving and fruitful when lived for God’s glory, as illustrated in Psalm 92:14.
  • Monthly Senior’s Luncheon: Join us each month for a time of food, laughter, and prayer. These gatherings provide an excellent opportunity for our “older saints” to connect in faith and friendship, sharing their journeys and insights with one another.
  • Engaging Activities: Our meetings are filled with vibrant conversation, and opportunities to engage in supporting ministries and meeting the needs of others both inside and outside our church community.

A Community of Support and Growth:

  • Fellowship and Connection: At each luncheon and event, seniors have the chance to strengthen bonds with peers, staff, and church leaders, fostering a supportive network that celebrates each individual’s journey.
  • Outreach and Service: Seniors are encouraged to impart their wisdom and serve through various church and community-based projects, demonstrating the impactful presence and legacy of our seasoned believers.
